Pofadder is a charming little village with friendly warm hearted people, on the border of Namakwaland and Northern Cape, en route between Upington and Springbok.
The town of Pofadder gets its name from a local chief called Klaas Pofadder, who lived and died (in a hail of bullets) at this spot.
After good rain, the flower season comes around every year in August, with pallets of all flower colours. Springbok, the capital of Namaqualand, with its flowers is about 160km from Vraweer Guest House.
